The Australian Apprenticeships and Traineeships Information Service has free information and resources for students and job hunters, their families and advisers. We are funded by the Australian Government Department of Education and Training to promote apprenticeship and traineeship career options, and to encourage participation in pre-apprenticeships, apprenticeships and traineeships.

The service runs the website, where you can find information to help with career research and job hunting.

The Students area has information about Australian Apprenticeships and Australian School-based Apprenticeships. Take the Work Type Explorer quiz to find industries and jobs that match your work style!

Job Hunters can browse the Job Pathways Charts to find groups of jobs they might be interested in or go straight to the Job & Training Descriptions to find out more about your chosen apprenticeship or traineeship. You can use the Job Hunting area to find out the best ways to get an apprenticeship or traineeship job.

Are you researching for a family member or friend? Take a look under the Start a Career menu item for a page just for Family & Friends. This page has information about ways you can support someone who is considering doing an Australian Apprenticeship. It lists some of the common resources used for career research and job hunting.

If you are a career adviser, the Industry Insiders area is for you! Use the Career Adviser page to help with Common Questions about Australian Apprenticeships, and for essential resources you can use with your students or job hunters. The Bag of Tricks has a range of free worksheets, activities and other resources to help with your work.

The AusAppPathways mobile app helps you explore Australian Apprenticeships career ideas. Browse industries to find apprenticeships and traineeships you are interested in, or search for them by keyword. You can save your favourites for later. You can download the app for free in the App Store or Google Play.

The YouTube channel has interviews with apprentices and trainees talking about their work and how they got their job. Hear from real pre-apprentices, and apprentices and trainees about job searching and what the job is about. Listen to employers talk about what they are looking for when they hire new apprentices and trainees!
