Five minutes with…Amber Gabelich
Amber Gabelich, described as bubbly, energetic and friendly will fit right in with the best and brightest at Skills Show Australia 2018. Amber is currently working as a spray painter at GP Motors, Bairnsdale, whilst studying part-time at Kangan Institute, Docklands Campus for her Certificate III Automotive Body Repair.
Describing her WordSkills experience to date, Amber says is has been fun and different, yet invigorating. She hopes to learn new things and expand her knowledge of Automotive Body Repair at the National Championships in Sydney. One of her favourite parts of the job is watching the progress from start to finish. She says that if she was to win the competition it would be a bonus, but she’s just excited for the experience.
Amber was encouraged by her boyfriend and people at her school to go forward for the competition and she was grateful they did as she says it was a great experience. Excited and hopeful on what is yet to come, Amber is looking forward to finishing up her apprenticeship, so she can go on to learn airbrushing and get into some custom work.
